Toyota plans to bring its popular premium SUV Fortuner to a new avatar. The company has started testing the Toyota Fortuner facelift. It has been seen during testing in the global market, where its pictures have also been leaked. Here we are telling you 5 big things about Fortuner facelift based on the information revealed so far.
There will be slight changes in the styling of the Fortuner facelift. The front is expected to get a new grille with many slats and inserts like the Toyota RAV4 SUV. Apart from this, the SUV will get a redesigned front bumper, new headlamps, new fog lamps and revised taillamps with new inserts, which will give it a fresh look. The side profile will be revised with new body cladding and new design alloy wheels.
Like the exterior, the interior of the updated Fortuner will also undergo mild changes. It is expected to get an upgraded infotainment system with smartphone connectivity. Apart from this, the SUV can get a new steering wheel, new seat upholstery, and a new gear lever.
The Fortuner facelift is expected to get only the current model BS6 compliant 2.7-liter petrol and 2.8-liter diesel engines. Its petrol engine produces 164bhp of power and 245Nm of torque, while the diesel engine generates 174bhp of power and 450Nm of torque.
Prices
Toyota recently launched the BS6 Compliant Fortuner, which is comparable to the BS4 model. The facelift model is expected to increase its price slightly due to cosmetic and feature upgrades. Right now the price of this SUV is between Rs 28.18 lakh and Rs 33.95 lakh.
When will it be launched?
The company has not yet announced the new Fortuner's launching timeline and its details. However, reports said that the Fortuner facelift will be launched later this year.
